About the UVC 254 Quick Check
The Intellego UVC 254 Quick Check is a colour-changing UV-C dose check card that gives fast, visible confirmation that a 254 nm ultraviolet germicidal device is delivering a measurable dose. Because UV-C radiation is invisible to the human eye, operators have no direct way to see whether a lamp is performing to specification — output degrades with lamp age, soiling and distance, yet the device may appear to run normally. This UV-C indicator card closes that gap with a simple go/no-go result: a check mark appears at 6 mJ/cm², and the card then colour-shifts at 15 mJ/cm² and again at 25 mJ/cm², providing a clear, at-a-glance reading of accumulated dose across the lower end of the disinfection range.
How the UVC 254 Quick Check card works
UV-C disinfection is governed by dosimetry: the delivered dose is a product of irradiance and exposure time, and effective inactivation depends on the target receiving sufficient energy. The Quick Check card responds to accumulated 254 nm exposure through three sequential thresholds — the 6 mJ/cm² check mark, then colour transitions at 15 and 25 mJ/cm² — so users can quickly verify a UV-C device is reaching a low-dose target and gauge relative exposure at a given position. As a rapid low-threshold indicator, it is complementary to the higher-threshold TRI Card: use the Quick Check for fast routine confirmation, and the TRI Card where a higher dose must be demonstrated. Each card measures 2″ × 2″ with an adhesive backing, and is single use so every reading reflects a fresh, uncontaminated response.
Where to deploy it
The UVC 254 Quick Check works across the full range of 254 nm equipment: mobile UV-C towers, fixed ceiling-mounted units, upper-air installations, enclosed cabinets and hand-held wands. This flexibility supports validation routines in offices, schools, gyms and hotels, as well as high-turnover transport settings such as ambulance, police and fire service vehicles, ride-share and delivery vehicles, and aircraft cabins. Placing a card at the point of interest lets operators and infection-control teams confirm, quickly and repeatably, that a device is producing UV-C at the location that matters — turning an invisible process into documented, visible proof of function.
Specifications and ordering
The Quick Check is supplied as a 2″ × 2″ adhesive-backed, single-use card, packed 25 per bag, with dose indication at 6, 15 and 25 mJ/cm² for 254 nm UV-C sources. As a straightforward verification tool, it helps organisations build consistent, auditable UV-C monitoring practices without specialist metering equipment. The minimum order quantity is 200 units. This product is priced on application; VTM UK LTD can quote in GBP, EUR or USD to suit your organisation.
